Can anybody explain please?
Psalm 30:5
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

◄ 2 Kings 2:9 ►
When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, "Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?" "Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit," Elisha replied.


Answers :

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.


• ◄ Mark 9:23 ►
"'If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for one who believes."



◄ Mark 11:23 ►
"Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.


In a layman answer, : Indeed, if we believe in our heart, and know that we truly serve a living God with our whole heart, life and follow him in true,righteousness and continue to serve and remain committed to him,just like Elisha was with Elijah? Our rewards abound and shall remain unlimited so that nothing shall be impossible and whatever we ask for, with faith? We will receive.

Because God reward those who are committed to him, serve him wholeheartedly and love him with all their heart just like Elisha was to Elijah.


Also, this also teaches us that, there is a point/time in our lives time after committing and following God wholeheartedly and with love, he'll be so overwhelm and may ask us what we desire or grant our greatest desires in him -both spiritual and/or physical.

In a nutshell, the lord greatly,reward those who serve him wholeheartedly,with all they have, and are committed to him completely like Elisha was for Elijah.

Thank you pastor...
Does the word double here means a second/ same portion or two times ?

Meaning he was asking for the same spirit transfer to him or a spirit 2 time more powerful ?
Psalm 30:5

The words " double portion " means, times two.
