To Add to Pastor Bankole's answer, there is nowhere in the bible where God forces anyone to marry a particular person. There are 2 cases that people tend to twist
1. Joseph & Mary. God never told Joseph to Marry Mary when she was pregnant with Jesus. He only encouraged him not to be afraid to marry her. Mathew 1:20 But as he was thinking this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary [as] your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of (from, out of) the Holy Spirit
2.Hosea & Gomer.God only suggested to Hosea among which group to marry. Its Hosea who chose Gomer.
Hosea 1:2-3 When the Lord first spoke with and through Hosea, the Lord said to him, Go, take to yourself a wife of harlotry and have children of [her] harlotry, for the land commits great whoredom by departing from the Lord.So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim, and she became pregnant and bore him a son
Remember we are free moral agents. If God cannot force salvation on us, (though he wishes that all men be saved.1 Timothy 2:4) then He definitely cannot force marriage & spouses on us.
He can guide, direct, prepare, suggest, encourage, lead you to a particular person, but He will not force you to marry him/her. Its still your choice. But its always best to seek God's opinion before you finally choose.
God being the great loving father that He is, wants to give you the best. He knows who matches your star very well. So if you are thinking about marrying someone who is just good for you, and you ask God's opinion, He may not give you peace/encourage you about them simply because He knows there is someone best for you ;)
